The Bible is God’s inspired Word to all people. Written by human authors under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, it is without error in all that it teaches and completely trustworthy. As God’s truth, it is timeless and wholly relevant to every area of life.

God is great: He is all powerful, all knowing, ever present, unchanging, completely worthy of our trust, and above all, Holy. It is in Him that we live, move and exist. God is good. He is our Father. He is loving, compassionate, and faithful to His people and His promises.

Jesus Christ is completely human but, at the same time, completely God. He is the only plan for bringing people who are far from God back into a right relationship with God. He lived a perfect life, so that He could be a substitution for us in satisfying God’s demands for perfection. He defeated death in His resurrection so that we can have life.

The Holy Spirit’s presence assures us of our relationship with Christ. He guides believers into all truth and exalts Christ. He convicts people of their sin, God’s righteousness, and the coming judgment. He comforts us, gives us spiritual gifts, and makes us more like Christ.

Man was created to exist forever. He will exist either eternally separated from God by sin or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is Hell. To be eternally in union with Him is Heaven. Heaven and Hell are places of eternal existence.

Biblically, man is a spirit, soul, and body uniquely created in God's image, possessing a created purpose to reflect God, exercise dominion, and have fellowship with Him. While male and female are distinct, both are equal in personhood and value, and both were created in God's image to be more than just physical beings.  

Components of a Biblical Man 

     •    A Spirit: 
Man has a spiritual nature that gives him understanding, connecting him to God.  

    •    A Soul:
This is the animating principle of life, the center of self, emotions, and the will. 

     •    A Body:
This is the physical vessel that allows man to interact with the physical world.

Salvation is the deliverance of humanity from sin and its consequences, such as death and separation from God, through faith in Jesus Christ's death and resurrection. It is a gift from God that results in forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and reconciliation with God. This encompasses being rescued from past sin, being freed from sin's power in the present, and receiving eternal life and fellowship with God in the future.  

Key Aspects of Biblical Salvation. 

Salvation frees believers from the eternal consequences of sin, which the Bible identifies as death and spiritual separation from God. 

    •    Forgiveness of Sins:  Through Christ's sacrificial death, believers are forgiven of their sins and declared righteous before God.  

    •    Redemption:  represents a rescue or ransom from a state of sin and bondage, made possible by Christ's death.  

    •    Reconciliation with God:  Salvation restores a broken relationship with God, allowing for fellowship and peace with Him.  

    •    Eternal Life:  A central aspect of salvation is the promise of eternal life with God in heaven. 

    •    Justification:  Believers are "justified," meaning they are declared righteous by God because of their faith in Christ.  

The Church is a local community of believers unified through faith in Christ. It is committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and it seeks to bring the Gospel to the world. The Church works together in love and unity, intent on the ultimate purpose of glorifying Christ.
