In these passages, Jesus contrasts the values of God’s Kingdom with the priorities of man’s kingdom. Man’s kingdom is bound by pride, tradition, and self-interest—seen in the religious leaders who cared more about rules and appearances than compassion. God’s Kingdom, however, is marked by mercy, humility, and true righteousness—seen in Jesus healing on the Sabbath, exalting the humble, and teaching that compassion outweighs legalism.

Man’s Kingdom seeks position and control. God’s Kingdom seeks transformation and service.
