What if everything we experience in this life is preparing us for something far greater than we can imagine?

In this uplifting and powerful message, “The Promise of Eternal Joy in Heaven,” Pastor Michael Naylor takes us to Revelation 21:1–4, reminding us of the glorious future God has prepared for those who belong to Him.

But Pastor Naylor begins with a thought-provoking passage from Ecclesiastes 12:13–14, where Solomon brings us to the conclusion of the whole matter:

“Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is man's all.” — Ecclesiastes 12:13 NKJV

Solomon reminds us that life has a purpose, our choices matter, and one day we will stand before God.

And what a beautiful transition into Revelation 21!

The Apostle John gives us a glimpse of a new heaven and a new earth, where God Himself will dwell with His people.

Then comes one of the most comforting promises in all of Scripture:

“And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” — Revelation 21:4 NKJV

Imagine that!

No more death.
No more funerals.
No more sickness.
No more pain.
No more broken hearts.
No more goodbyes.

And perhaps the greatest promise of all—we will dwell in the presence of God forever!

Pastor Naylor also brings us to Revelation 21:6–7, where the Lord declares:

“It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End.”

These verses remind us that God's promises are certain, His plan is complete, and eternal life is found through Jesus Christ.

For the believer, heaven isn't simply a comforting thought or a beautiful place we hope exists.

Heaven is a promise from the God who cannot lie.

And while we may experience sorrow, hardship, and tears during our earthly journey, those things will not have the final word.

Jesus Christ has already secured the victory!
